  • Posted on April 15, 2017
  • It is clear that Dr. Mark Dekutoski loves to teach and that he also loves to help move his profession forward. His love of teaching apparently derives from his lifelong love of learning. After all, his education is quite impressive, starting with a B.A. from Albion University in 1982 and continued when he sought a medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1986. That was when he officially earned the right to be called Dr. Mark Dekutoski, MD.

Dr. Dekutoski also completed an internship in general surgery in 1987 and a residency in orthopedic surgery in 1991 from Wayne State. He followed that with a sting as a John H. Moe Clinical Spine Fellow at the Twin Cities Scoliosis Spine Center at the University of Minnesota in 1993. In addition to his laudable research and writing skills, Dr. Mark Dekutoski has been a reviewer and collaborator for various surgery-related medical journals and he was even an editor for several publications, such as a supplement for Spine, one of the most prestigious orthopedic journals anywhere.
